Steve McClelland oversees Westslope's properties in eastern Oregon and southeast Washington, on occasion handling homesites and special-circumstance properties. With his deep working knowledge of Oregon land, Steve complements the already formidable expertise of Westslope's Pacific Northwest team.

Before joining Westslope, he spent 15 years managing the land he represents today, first for Boise Cascade and, more recently, for Forest Capital Partners (FCP). As general manager of FCP's inland division, he was responsible for the firm's domestic livestock grazing program and all land-use contracts, a responsibility he continues to hold today. He also oversaw FCP's resource management programs, ensuring foresters were in compliance with all rules and regulations governing fisheries, wildlife, and wetlands.

Previously, Steve served for five years as a program manager with the Oregon State Department of Agriculture, where he worked with soil and water conservation districts throughout the state, managed resource programs, and interacted with the state legislature. With an extensive network of experts developed over the course of his two decades in Oregon resource management, he provides clients a level of technical guidance that is rare among real estate professionals.

A 22-year resident of Oregon, Steve holds a B.S. degree in fish and wildlife management and an M.S. in rangeland resource management from Montana State University.
